Koyasan Shingon Mission of Hawaii

In 1915, this nonprofit organization, now operating as Koyasan Shingon Mission of Hawaii, was established to govern the 12 Koyasan Shingon Member Missions residing on four Hawaiian Islands. Bishop Clark Watanabe and the 14 Reverends presiding over these Member Missions have been trained and certified by Koyasan Kongobuji Headquaters in Wakayama-ken, Japan. Koyasan Shingon Mission of Hawaii is a member of the Hawaii Buddhist Council comprised of the major Japanese Buddhist denominations in Hawaii.
